My name is Jolanda Flims - ter Linde and I have been designing all my life. What started out with drawing and painting was followed up by a degree in Art and Communication from the Ichtus Hoge School in Rotterdam.

I started my career as a graphic designer and later started developing and designing for tradeshow exhibits as an independent contractor. For 22 years I designed exhibits and all visual elements for business to business and retail trade shows.

After moving to the US from the Netherlands, we wanted to redesign our existing backyard, so I decided to draw up the plans myself. I learned that not only was it fun, but I was also good at it. After that exterior design was my new focus.

On the front page of our website, you will see my backyard. I designed it to serve as an outdoor living space. My family and I love to be outdoors and I designed features, like the sunk-in fireplace, that work well with our lifestyle and outdoor entertaining.
